Development of Cloud Computing Based Intranet Model for Banks and Financial Institutes to Use Resources Efficiently for Achieving Flexibility in Activities and Work Portability

Abstract

0 Cloud Computing (CC) refers to decades of research carried out in the development of new Internet technologies and utilization of all achievements in different areas of Information Technology. CC provides the flexibility to be scaled up and down with respect to provision of services and delivery platform to its customers of different organizations. Presently banking sector and financial institutions are working on traditional style and surfing a lot of money to purchase I.T base resources but they are not using these resources efficiently. To achieve the maximum performance in banking sector and financial institutions, working on traditional style are required to enhance the system for transformation of the offered products, channels and customer services. So, reshaping and reinvention of core banking operations to enable a more competitive, customer centric, efficient and sustainable business model as well as for financial institutions, CC offers a better way for them to manage their internal system and resources efficiently and proficiently. Keeping in mind the business considerations of banks, this paper introduces an intranet model proposed under CC for the banking sector and compares it with traditional intranet model and VDI intranet model. By taking up this model, exclusively banking sector issues i.e. security, flexibility in activities, portability of work profile would be resolved.
